Thomas Monn is an amateur photographer. He uses a Canon EOS Rebel T3 and a Canon EOS 5DS R.
When Thomas’ mom gave him his first camera, a Canon EOS Rebel T3, it was like a door opened to a whole new world. He was instantly hooked. Thomas would spend countless hours at parks and events, trying out different techniques and capturing moments from every possible angle. His dedication would pay off when he won his school’s Reflections Arts Program for Photography in fifth grade. Even though he didn’t have a name for it yet, he knew he would be getting up close, crouching in the dirt, and finding unusual perspectives to capture the perfect shot.
A high school photography class and a supportive teacher gave him the vocabulary, technical skills, and validation he needed to take things to the next level. He even had a name for the photography he loved, Macro Photography. Armed with this knowledge, Thomas upgraded to a Canon EOS 5DS R, which let him capture the intricate details of nature with even more precision. Every time the shutter went off, he found new inspiration in the hidden beauty of the world around him.
